Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a British man who vanished over the weekend while with friends in Amsterdam.
Ryan Jones, 34, said that he had forgotten his passport so went to get it on Sunday afternoon.
He then made ‘brief’ telephone contact with his group at 2.17pm, but has not been heard from since.
Dutch police have launched a search for Ryan who is 6ft 4ins (1.93m) tall and has a tattoo on his right forearm.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a white baseball cap.
It is not known where Ryan is from in the UK. He had been on a weekend break with friends before he was due to return via Schiphol Airport.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: ‘We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in The Netherlands and are in contact with the local authorities.’
